What are Stakeholder Requirements?

The University of Glasgow is leading work on MATCH into determining Stakeholder Requirements. These are the needs that many different types of users have for a home care system. The stakeholders in such a system include the end users, their formal carers (e.g. social and health care professionals), their informal carers (e.g. family members and neighbours), system designers, and policy makers.

Stakeholder Requirementss appear in situations in which the choices that a user or the system make can cause a conflict with another choice that might be made. An example would be turning up the heating in a room if the user has already opened a window in the same room. Here, an automatic system response (to keep the room warm) conflicts with what the user wishes to do (to get some cool air).
