Lyrics

Hate a lot of things
But I love a few things
And you are one of them

Hard to believe
After all these years
But you are one of them

Walk down the streets
I'm thinking: everybody move along
I've got a sad-hearted needing
To belong

Nevertheless
It's all the mess you made
But I can't let it go

Walk down the streets
I'm thinking: look at all the ants in a farm
I've got a sad-hearted feeling
To harm

Hate a lot of things
But I love a few things
And you are one of them

Related Interview Extracts

E: This song is summerising me, i think. A person who often is chynical but is struggling to be nice and always tries to get to the positive side of things, and that's important. I'm not interested in making a record build on anger and rage and nothing else. I want to show that there's another choice, maybe a more difficult choice, which is to try to get to the positive side of things.

Favourite parts

I love the first verse. I like how the love for even a single thing kinda cancels out the hatred of so many things.

Hate a lot of things
But I love a few things
And you are one of them

I think the first chorus really captures a feeling in all of us: "a sad-hearted needing to belong".

Walk down the streets
I'm thinking: everybody move along
I've got a sad-hearted needing
To belong
