Quick Start
Loch Ard is delightfully set in the heart of the Trossachs. Travel is convenient from a large part of central Scotland. Club membership stretches from Glasgow to Falkirk to Edinburgh. Being an inland loch, there are no problems of tides, currents or salt water. The winds are generally moderate (though unpredictable!), typically in the range force 1 to 4.
Although the club runs formal racing, the atmosphere is relaxed. There is no pressure to compete, and members often just take a leisurely sail for pleasure. The club also welcomes children and non-sailing members.
