| This paper presents the latest results from the ongoing
Feature Interactions in Multimedia Systems (FIMS) project. The project
comprises paper studies, which aim to identify potential areas where the
feature interaction problem may occur in networked multimedia services.
The classification scheme for multimedia services and applications is presented.
The causes of feature interactions are considered and some examples of
potential feature interactions are given. The paper concludes with observations
from the investigation about where feature interactions are most likely
to occur.
