Flinders University in Australia honoured its finest alumni with Distinguished Alumni Awards in 2008, with Dr Bruce Graham receiving an award for his work in computational intelligence.
Bruce is currently a Reader in Computing Science here at the University of Stirling, where he is Head of the Computational Intelligence research group and a member of the Centre for Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience. He has been awarded three UK research council project grants as principal investigator, comprising total funding of nearly £500,000. Since 1990, he has forged an international reputation in computational neuroscience, where his research involves developing mathematical models based on, and to explain, experimental data from the mammalian brains.
