I enjoyed my time as an MSc student at the University of Stirling very much. The student support services are extremely
helpful and effective to assist you when settling in. Apart from the academic quality, the University of Stirling
deserves to get the reward of the most beautiful campus in the world.
The MSc was taught by very friendly and helpful academics. As an MSc student of this university I was very happy
with the lecture theatre and laboratory quality and this helped me to get the most out of my course.
I have successfully completed my MSc and have since embarked on studying for a PhD in Neuroinformatics in
the computing science department. It is truly an amazing place to live, work and study.

My time at Stirling University was fantastic for more than a handful of reasons. The practical classes and tutorials, but
especially the group projects are geared towards creating a social atmosphere which was very much appreciated.
The staff are
extremely approachable and do not shun you away as a simple student: this means that your ideas and opinions are taken on-board
and this really helps you to establish yourself professionally. What's more is that a number of MSc projects are carried out in
collaboration with external bodies (my Masters dissertation was conducted with the local government). Lastly, the courses are not
only interesting, they have greatly helped me in my career - I currently hold a permanent position with Accenture, one of the
most competitive IT consultancy companies worldwide whilst also participating in interviews with Nintendo, Yahoo & Google.

Undertaking an MSc in Information Technology (IT) at Stirling University can
mean different things for different people. For myself, it was supporting the change the direction of my career. Entrance into a
diverse IT industry was made much easier by the breadth of subjects covered within the course, all of which were relevant,
informative and enjoyable. As a mature student, the course and University provided me with a friendly and relaxed learning
environment. The lecturing staff were always friendly, approachable and supportive when help was needed. The small class sizes
also fostered a supportive team spirit that helped me in my learning. The smaller scale of the Computing Science Department made
me feel part of a close academic community in a way not possible with the larger city institutions.
Thomas Mazzocco, MSc Computing for Financial Markets
Since I arrived at Stirling, I enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere.
Classes are divided well in lectures, tutorials and practical sessions. Small class sizes facilitated a profitable interaction
among students and between students and staff. During this 1-year experience I studied in an exciting interdisciplinary
environment: half of the courses were dealing with Economics and Finance, giving me the opportunity of broadening my horizons and
developing a strong grasp of methods and contents from different fields. I am now a PhD student in the department.
Kaushal Kumar, MSc Advanced Computing
