Welcome to the home page of PDM9L7, Advanced Information Technology Skills.

This module runs in Autumn and Spring semesters and is delivered through ten practical sessions (workshops). Each student attends one two-hour workshop per week. An evening workshop is available in the Autumn. You can find out more about what the module covers by looking at the Organisation section. Teaching material will be added to this site during the course of the semester. To follow links marked locked from off campus, you will need to enter your username and password.

Announcements

  • Workshop times have been confirmed: see the schedule for details. You need to sign up for one session per week. You can do this via Succeed. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

  • Worksheets for the whole semester will be supplied at the first workshop. This will allow you to work at your own pace. This will cost five pounds. They will be available at the first workshop sessions (you can pick them up there). Please bring cash, we don't accept cheques or credit cards! You will be expected to bring your folder every week. If you missed this, please go to 4B80 to pick up a folder.

  • If you are interested in being the class rep please email the coordinator.

  • If you do not have PDM9L7 on your list of Succeed modules then there may be a problem with your registration.

If you do not see the modules you are expecting to see you must ensure you have completed both academic and administrative enrolment. You can see the status of your enrolment process by logging on to the portal. If this doesn't reflect what you think, then please contact Student Programmes.

Once enrolment is complete your modules should appear in Succeed following the next student upload. During the first week of semester, students will be uploaded to Succeed overnight and around 1pm each day. In subsequent weeks this upload will happen overnight.

  • Workshops have started. If you miss a workshop, catch up by attending another session, or doing the worksheet in your own time. Get the checkpoint at your next session.
