Announcements

  • The results of the Group wiki are now available. This sheet shows just your individual grades. For maximum clarity, you can also check the full results sheet which shows how the grades were derived. Firstly, we marked the whole wiki: this is shown on the left of the spreadsheet. Secondly, we figured out individual contribution for each student: this is shown on the right of the spreadsheet. This is out of 50: some marks come out higher than this due to high relative contribution. These grades are capped at 50 to produce a grade. Finally, we adjusted the grade for the wiki group according to individual contribution: this is shown at the far right. Weightings were used as follows: word count (85%), page count (7.5%), revision count (7.5%). If the contribution was a positive one overall, then a factor of 2 was used to modify the grade. If the contribution was negative overall, then a factor of 3.5 was used to modify the grade.
  • The results of the Systems, Networks and Hypertext test are now available.
  • The following students are currently not eligible for a grade for CSC931 (due to having missed a requirement, e.g. the presentation, the minimum checkpoint level, or the Alice test): 1930079/1, 1829504/1, 1913743/1, 1818065/1, 1815870/1, 2012902/1, 1916144/1, 2032668/1, 1625474/1, 1614285/1, 1912499/1, 1922773/1.
  • Final checkpoint grades have been calculated (28/11/11). Check the list to see what your final checkpoint grade is. If you have less than 4C then you will not get a grade for CSC931 at all.
  • The results of the Alice test are now available.
  • Group wiki: topics have been assigned and full information about the assessment released. See Succeed for details. You should see your wiki group under "My Groups" in Succeed.
  • For those of you already stressed about the Systems materials: please note that the tests for this module are open book. You do not need to memorise everything.
  • Your class representatives are Kodi Kuri and Craig Law. You can pass comments to them via the "Feedback and Questions for CSC931" discussion forum on Succeed.
  • Lectures and practicals have already started. If you're not sure what's on when, have a look at the semester schedule.
