Industrial Advisory Board (IAB)

What Does a Computing Science Institute Do?

Every year we produces a cohort of graduates educated to BCS level in Computing Science, new research designed to enhance and extend the range of activities that computers can usefully perform, and PhD. level research students with an expertise in their chosen field.

What Can we Do for You?

We want as many people as possible to benefit from our work, and IAB is how we try to make sure that happens. Employers meet students and see their work first hand, and in return help us keep what we teach relevant and in demand. We also share our knowledge and the technology we develop with companies, government bodies, and charities - any organisation, in fact, that can benefit.

Get Involved

IAB is a forum and membership is free and open to any organisation with an interest in the output from the institute. We also encourage all of our students and staff members to join. We hold three meetings a year, publish summaries of the research and student projects that we produce and maintain a database of students looking for jobs and companies looking for employees with certain skills.

IAB is the community outreach club of the Institute of Computing Science and Maths at the University of Stirling
